Ingredients

  • 1 gallon (3.8 liters) apple cider
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon whole allspice berries
  • 1 orange thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1-2 inches of fresh ginger sliced – Optional

Instructions

  • Pour the Cider: In a large pot, pour the apple cider and place it over medium heat.
  • Add Spices: Add cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, whole allspice berries, and optional fresh ginger to the cider.
  • Citrus Slices: Thinly slice the orange and lemon, then add the slices to the pot.
  • Sweeten the Brew: Pour in honey or maple syrup to sweeten the infusion. Adjust the sweetness according to your taste.
