Mixed Berry Sangria
Equipment
- 1 Large Pitcher
Ingredients
- 1 bottle red wine such as Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 cup mixed berries blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and chopped strawberries
- 1 orange sliced
- 1 lemon sliced
- 1 lime sliced
- 2 cups sparkling water or club soda
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine 1 bottle red wine, 1/2 cup brandy, 1/4 cup orange liqueur, and 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup. Stir well to combine.
- Add 1 cup mixed berries, 1 orange (sliced), 1 lemon (sliced), and 1 lime (sliced) to the pitcher. Gently muddle the fruit to release their juices.
- Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
- Just before serving, add 2 cups sparkling water or club soda to the pitcher and stir gently.
- Pour the Mixed Berry Sangria into individual glasses, making sure to include some fruit in each serving.
- Garnish with Fresh mint leaves for an extra touch of magic.
